The Unofficial Oblivion Patch v2.2.0 (2007 - Aug. - 07) by Quarn and I is now up to eleven hundred bugs fixed that are left over after the official 1.1.511 and 1.2.0.416 patches, including a couple of crashes-to-desktop, many quest errors including bugs that break entire questlines and a couple on the Main Quest, item bugs, cell and object placement errors, sound and lip-synch animation errors, and more. I highly recommend installing the Official 1.2.0416 patch first if you haven't already. Self-installing, 45.1MB.
Here's a complete list of bugs fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. The MD5 hash of the self-installing Unofficial Oblivion Patch v2.2.0 above is D8 84 F8 34 67 AA D9 F3 CC 15 BF 5A 97 60 0B 11 and it is exactly 47,382,773 bytes in size. If you obtain one from elsewhere with a different size or hash, you either have a bad download or a possibly malicious fake. I've put up an Image Gallery showing some before and after screenshots of things the Unofficial Oblivion Patch fixes. Enjoy. |

The Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch v1.2.0 (2007 - Dec. - 25) fixes over two hundred currently unaddressed bugs (and ten thousand bad object placements) in the Shivering Isles expansion. It only changes things added by the expansion so works in addition to the Unofficial Oblivion Patch above. I highly recommend installing the Official 1.2.0416 patch first if you haven't already. The current official patch just addresses the "FBomb" Form ID problem and carryover fixes from Oblivion, so an official patch for SI-only issues may be released in which case ours will change. Self-installing, 18.9MB.

Barring any bugs found with it, this should be the final release of the UOMP. Self-installing, 2.68MB.

The Encyclopaedia Cyrodilica v1.21 (2006 - Jun. - 21) adds a handy collection of weightless reference "books" to Oblivion... very useful for looking up information in-game. Includes all alchemy ingredients and properties, enchanting and spellmaking info, and a complete list of console codes including codes for every item, NPC, creature and location there is. Most recent update: added a new volume 4 for trainers, added some missing Console commands to what is now Volume 5a, and fixed the FormID for Daedric Gauntlets. Note: this will be updated soon for the new Shivering Isles data, if I can find the time! |

Marine O'Keefe's Lore Dialog v1.15 (2006 - Sep. - 09) puts some much-needed roleplaying back into Oblivion by giving NPC's race, profession and religion dialog (as they had in Morrowind.) I didn't write this mod; just made it much smaller (116KB vs. 140MB as originally made) by creating a batch file to install the silent MP3 files required and reencoding them to the lowest bitrate possible (without them, the dialog goes by at about five frames per second so is practically unreadable.) I also included the "patch" version 1.15 of the plug-in so you don't have to separately download and install it; this is the only file required. Support for this mod may be obtained at Marine O'Keefe's forum or the official forums' thread. |
